Children’s theatre
Theater classes from 0 to 3 years old are currently developed in DILAAB.
Methodology:
The work methodology is based on different tools:
Methodologies for teaching music at an early age (Gordon, Musica in
culla). Children from 0 to 3 years old perceive energy much more than
the meaning of words. Being aware of the importance of rhythm of the
activities, musicality and atmosphere that we are creating allows us to
involve them in the proposed situations so that they can enjoy and
understand them.
Different theatrical techniques: The different theatrical techniques used,
ranging from shadow theater, the use of puppets and lights, to games
for body and space awareness, allow a complete and sensory
experience.
Dramaturgy and importance of the story: we want each session to be
an occasion for participants to live an adventure together. As in the
hero's journey, the stories presented have a climax where we all
together face an obstacle or fear and overcome it. This is the power
and magic of theater and storytelling: empathizing with the protagonists
and living an experience without having to live it in real life, and
learning from that.
Objectives and benefits:
Development of empathy, body awareness, socialization, rhythm and musicality.
Chance to live a playful experience with mom and dad and seeing each other in situations and roles different from everyday ones.
Experience difficult situations together and learn together to overcome them.
Production
Celia the Seagull and the Plastic Sea. Production with Dilaab and La
Zentralita for an audience from 0 to 3 years old.
Celia the Seagull is the theatrical adaptation of the story of the same name
“Celia Seagull and the Plastic Sea” by Nicole Miller. In this tender story,
Celia the Seagull is building her nest with the plastic she finds in the sea.
Unfortunately, among the waves she will not only find plastic, but also
animals trapped in it.
In this production, which at the current phase is a participatory theatrical show,
each spectator has a little Celia and lives the adventure with her, learning
how we can help the animals and nature invaded by our garbage.
